9. Managing Services
This section provides an overview of the different issues and requirements relevant to services in a Community Managed Library. From the moment you open your doors you are responsible for the safe and effective management of all the services within your library for as long as they continue to be needed. Some services may be delivered directly by your organisation and others may be delivered by partners but all will be associated with the library’s identity and reputation. Sometimes your achievements and impact will be obvious to all but at other times you may find the need to prove to yourselves and your stakeholders that you really are making a difference. Demonstrating such impact is about showing people what your organisation and your services have achieved, and having the underlying management information to prove your claims.
